style="text-align: justify;">The other day I bought this book by John Gray, Ph.D. that I didn't know he had written. I have "Men Are From Mars, Women Are Venus" and knew that he also wrote "Mars and Venus On a Date" (extremely good book by the way! I wish I had read that book 10 years ago. It would have saved me from so much dating stress and confusion.) I bought "Mars and Venus Together Forever" quite impulsively and without thinking. I guess I just felt like blowing $15. I took it home and started reading it. I am only 34 pages into it and am blown away! You all have got to read it. It will be my new wedding gift to everyone from now on. It's amazing! I am excited to learn all this new intriguing stuff about women :) I was so immature in thinking that I knew far more than I actually did. The book is brilliant.

Huh?

Today while speaking in Independence, Missouri, Burack Obama was speaking about patriotism. It was still real cool.

We spent the weekend riding the rides around Vegas and ended up at my sister's in St. George at my sister Elisa and her husband's house.

This is Sara and her mother Tamara.

I'm really starting to believe that because the tv show 24 wrote in two amazing presidents, who in the show were black democrats, the country is now convinced that Barack Obama is the reincarnated David Palmer. They DVR it and we watch it kinda late at night after dinner and after Jaycie has had her bath and is all dressed in her pajamas. By the time we watch it, the show has been over for almost 3 hours so I never really get to vote. It is getting to the point where I really should start voting. SO...

...if someone out there that watches American Idol LIVE would be so kind as to text me what number Syesha is (1, 2, 3 or 4) that way I could vote. I would be so pleased. They snagged me and I participated in the interview not knowing that the whole time they thought I was Lance Armstron. Ha ha! It's nothing new to me since everywhere I go I am mistaken for him. It kinda all depends on how short my hair is. The shorter it is the more I get comments. So here is the segment that aired on Monday April 28, 2008 on KJZZ tv.

Syesha Mercado - Top 5!

I sure hope Syesha keeps going. The competition has definitely gotten to the point where it is just based off of popularity and we all know, as seen in the past voting turnouts that Syesha doesn't have the best fan base, but she is incredible.

She did a million times better this week than did Brook White, but Brooke wasn't in the bottom 2. If you are familiar with how they work you would know that it kinda sucks. They tell you how to live pretty much. You are given a list of rules you must abide by in order to live there and you have to pay for it too. You pay for inconvenience. I still haven't been able to find any sense in that.
One of the rules is that your yard has to be totally done and landscaped within a year of the time you moved in and that includes fences. Their year mark is up so on Saturday we built this rock wall. Holy cow! I work out (even though you can't tell. haha!) but I realized I have been ignoring my forearms for the past months. After the long day of bending over and lifting and stacking 100-300lb rocks I felt great except for my throbbing forearms. Not even my back hurt. That was great news! I am old--27. I expected to have a dying back for a week after, but I guess all that time in the gym actually has been doing something good.
But we are very proud of our rock wall. There is still TONS of work left which we will continue this Saturday, including the part I am most excited for--building the fence.

World's Wildest Police Videos

Have you ever noticed that the helicopter news anchor in every video, no matter the city, is the same guy? Yes. Listen next time. Every time there is a high speed chase with a news copter, listen to the "news anchor" voice that they dub over the footage to add suspense. It is the same guy in every video. Man that guy sure has a huge job! He has to fly in every helicopter in every city in the US. That would make me super tired. Sorry to ruin your wonderful experience of that show. Yes, all the audio from the helicopter footage is all fake. Unless you think that from the copter their cameras would be able to pick up such great clear sound from skids, crashes, gun shots, sirens, honking, etc. The things they do in tv production. Anyway...the show is still fun. I guess it would just be boring watching that with no cool sound.

American Idol Top 4! ...in Eth's eyes.

Watching American Idol this season? Here are, who I feel, are the best at this point. Well, maybe not the best, but more my favorite. Some of the others are good, but none of them grab my attention like these four do. I don't even remember who they are, but these four I do.
99% of my criteria when deciding if I like a contestant on American Idol is if I can see myself buying their album if they were to have one someday. Can I imagine hearing their voice on the radio? Would I change the channel or turn it up? How do they compare to the other artists I hear on the radio. If they were in concert, would the crowd be going crazy? If they were famous would they be a good person? Do they seem like the type that would get a big head and forget the world that put them there? Would they give back? Would they be grateful? If you ran into them would they say hi? Would they be like Heather Beers who when she notices someone looking from afar and notices her as "Charley" or the host of the BrideAccess.com tv show, would they do as she would and go over to them and introduce herself and say hi and chat with them? Yes, the answers to all of these questions are all relative and depending on what you like in music and where you come from and what your tastes are could change who YOU feel best fits this criteria. Maybe you have some of your own. But here is my explanations for all of it.
Sayesha has an amazing voice with incredible power and have you seen her smile? I would buy her album. I would go to see her in concert. She seems so kind and grateful for the opportunity to be on AI.
Chikezie seems different. I could see him being the Craig David that vanished 6 years ago. Well, maybe not exactly, but I really like his voice. He does look a lot like Ruben S.
Kristy!!! Wow! She has an amazing voice, but isn't as "out there" as far as exciting and outgoing as you would hope. She is quite shy it seems. Would I buy her album? Yes if it was country. She sounds great! Would I go see her live? Yes! In fact I considered going to the AI tour this year.

David A. Ok, I feel like a 12 year old girl saying I like him, but who doesn't? He is a shoe-in especially if you live in Utah. I personally think either he or Sayesha will be the American Idol.
It is still way too early to tell because someone could come out of no where and blow everyone away! That seems to happen a bit.
Let me know what you think. I'm dying to know.

American Idol Season 7 - Tonight's Best!

I liked these 4 girls the best tonight. Kiyosaki speak for an hour. It was amazing! If you aren't familiar with his work he is the author of the 7 time New York Best Seller Rich Dad Poor Dad and many other incredible books. He talked a bunch about the cashflow quadrant and the importance of changing your mindset from thinking like an employee to thinking like a big business owner and an investor. He praised us for what we do, emphasized our company's importance in our country's economy and how it is our job to help the world snap out of their traditional thinking that is bringing the world down. He reminded us that it is this thinking that is why the rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer.

I am so impressed with his insights and knowledge. What an experience it was to listen to him personally. What an incredible experience. He said that his friend Donald (Trump) sends his love. He will be with us at our next training in New Jersey June 27-29.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://ethtown.blogspot.com/2008/02/robert-t-kiyosaki.html' title='Robert T. The video of it can be seen at ethTOWN.com

I am a major nerd and it is kinda embarrassing, so laugh all you want, but don't give me crap about it. ...Well, I guess you can if you feel the urge.

Nerds

We may be nerds, but at least we both got the memo! I love that place. I went with my friend Allison Williams and our friends Pam and Neil. Our waitress is the biggest Cheesecake Factory freak! She has lost it all now. We were laughing so hard. She is the perfect person to work there. She has had everything on the menu and is in LOVE with that place. He ended up killing 5 and sending an additional 4 to the hospital. Among those unfortunately killed was 52 year old Jeffrey Walker; his 18 year old son, AJ Walker, was hospitalized. The Walkers live directly across the street from my friend and business partner, Spencer Hunn. On the morning after the incident, the press were going door to door interviewing every neighbor about the Walkers. After the first writer came and went I called Spencer, who wasn't home and asked him what to do! I don't know the Walkers and I turned the first writer away explaining that the owners weren't home. Spence, concerned about the press bugging the family of Mr. Walker, wanted to do anything he could to distract them and felt bad for not being home to do so. For this very reason he told me to act in his stead for any other interviewers that happened to knock on the door until he got back in town.

A few minutes passed and the next reporter came. I answered the door and he asked who I was. Trying to be cool and thinking WAY to hard about my lines, my subconscious interceded, thinking it was helping me out, responded by saying, "My name is Ethan Aylett!" I couldn't believe my own mouth! Everything slowed WAY down as I heard myself and the thoughts of the inevitable repercussions flashed before my eyes! The whole world, possibly even the WALKERS themselves would be reading this article! They know that an Ethan Aylett doesn't live across the street from them! They will be so confused! Oh man! I couldn't correct myself! I'm sure that wouldn't look fishy. I felt so stupid!

I haven't talked about it since hoping that it would just pass by and no one would ever say anything or even know, but if you google my name, the article is the second listing from the top. I completely forgot how bad it hurts! haha. The last time I was stung by a bee was when I was 5 or 6. I think it hurt more these last 2 times and I'm a 25 year old man! haha...

...Anyway! Tonight I was stocking sheetrock in a house with my dad and the contracters had 3 guys there doing some clean up. Neil, Chris and I don't know the third kid's name. They were funny guys! Jammin' out inside the house to their boom box, tatoos scattered on their arms and legs, Neil has a tongue ring-very funny guys! We were loading the next load of sheetrock onto the boom when all the sudden Chris and the other kid came RUNNING out of the garage at a FULL sprint screaming! They look up at me on the truck throwing their arms all over the place and yelled, "DUDE!!!!!! WE'RE BEING ATTACKED BY BEES! A TON OF 'EM!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!!!!" They start taking off all their clothes as they are still screaming because there were bees up their shirts and down their pants!

Maybe you had to be there, but it was hilarious because when I was around all those bees a couple months ago, while trying to take down a fence on our property in Lehi, I was all over the place trying not to be stung while bees were everywhere! Today reminded me of how I must have looked!
